Biography

Celine McGlynn lives in Stranorlar, Co Donegal, Ireland and is inspired in particular by the Donegal landscape. Her works convey the energy of life in the sea, water, rocks, mountains and stones.  They celebrate the joy of a constantly changing landscape.

Born in Donegal in 1957, Celine McGlynn started painting in 1998, has had several solo exhibitions and featured in many group shows.

A self-taught artist she works primarily in oils and a variety of other media to produce works in contemporary and more traditional styles. She believes that everyone should have access to visual art – paintings and sculptures, and performing arts as they are languages that all people speak that cut across racial, cultural, social, educational, and economic barriers and enhance cultural appreciation and awareness.
